African Association for Indigenous Spirituality

African Association for Indigenous Spirituality is a network forum which seeks to promote and protect the values of good African Indigenous Spiritual practices. AAFIS intends to unite and also to forge a working relationship with all like- minded institutions, leaders and individuals in achieving a shared common vision in this regard. Also, for the better articulation of the position of African Indigenous Spirituality locally and abroad for commonality of purpose among organizations who have similar objectives of creating a good working relationship in achieving a shared common vision of African Leaders.

Mandate

1. To unite all African Indigenous Spirituality, Institutions and individual leaders like:
• Traditional healers.
• Traditional Leaders.
• Legal fraternity, civil society and scholarly/academic groups.

2. Protect and promote, values and good practices of African Indigenous Spirituality to educate the world about the Authenticity of African Indigenous Spirituality.

3. . Promote universal acknowledgement and acceptance of African Indigenous Spirituality

4. To advocate for sustenance of freedom of the association and expression for African Indigenous Spirituality locally and internationally.

Purpose

In pursuit of furthering the course and advocating for African Indigenous Spirituality, we endeavor to forge collaboration with like-minded individuals/organizations for the purpose of collectively fulfilling our mandate as Africans and to entrench Unity for African Excellence, Growth, Peace, welfare, Social security, Self-determination and tolerance among each othe.

African Association for Indigenous Spirituality does not seek to control its affiliates within the forum but, in principle, seeks to promote dignified African practices and beliefs. Therefore, it is not the intention of African Association for Indigenous Spirituality to interfere with strategic intent and operations of its affiliates.

Furthermore, a memorandum of understanding is set in place for individuals, organizations and associations to accede that as prospective members, they understand and are willing to pursue the call to sustainable African unity through the association
